Desulphurization technology by corona discharge is a novel and promising dry process for flue gas treatment. In flue gas desulphurization by corona discharge, the discharge characteristic of four electrode in direct current power and pulsed power were studied on the basis of desulphurization tests. It is resulted that under the same condition, desulphurization efficiency of pulsed power exceeds that of direct current power. By contrast ranking discharge characteristic of four electrodes, desulphurization efficiency of nozzle electrode is the first, sawtooth electrode is the second, spinous electrode is the third,the star electrode is the fourth. The reason is that discharge characteristic of electrodes lies on curvature radius.
