Abstract
In the history of Libraries many changes have taken place, from traditional libraries to modern libraries, i.e., Manual records to automated and digital records, technological revolution placed the libraries in par excellence. Now after the digital and virtual era the libraries are adopting the new technology that is cloud computing. The libraries can simplify their processes, save time and money by using cloud computing. There will be no need of local hosting servers and other equipment's. And also can put full stop to frequent software installations, upgrades, hardware failures and any other compatibility problems. This article describes the term `cloud computing' and discusses how cloud computing technology overtook the digital and virtual library technologies. It also tells how cloud computing technology can help the libraries in providing services to specific users via single user interface (UI), i.e., web browser.
