Abstract

The paper describes the miniaturization process of a coupler in marine communication systems implemented in a single layer. A comparison of the parameters of a conventional and compact coupler is given. The miniaturization of the coupler became possible due to the use of artificial transmission lines having a shorter length than quarter-wave segments. The area of the received coupler was 73.5% less than the area of the coupler in the traditional version.
