Socio-demographic assessment of the population life quality of the Irkutsk agglomeration

Abstract

Urban agglomerations of Siberia have been developed against the backdrop of industrial development of the second half of the 20th century. They all have their own features, both in type of agglomeration systems, and in functional support. We chose the Irkutsk agglomeration as a study object. It takes the 21st place in the list of Russian agglomerations, trailing only the Krasnoyarsk agglomeration, and is the second inter-regional center of social and economic development and attraction of Eastern Siberia. The article analyzes the key areas of life quality. We revealed distinctive features of the socio-demographic processes on the territory of the Irkutsk agglomeration.
