Abstract
Today, the radio monitoring of a radio frequency spectrum is one of the main ways of its load assessment to solve the advanced radio frequency spectrum management challenges for the development of new 5G mobile communication technology. Currently, the 3400 - 3800 MHz spectrum band is one of the main bands for the 5G network deployment. The paper discusses the methodology for the radio monitoring and assessment of the electromagnetic environment in the promising frequency bands for the 5G network development in the largest city of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The radio monitoring results presented in this work showed that the frequency ranges of 686-782 MHz and 3400-3800 MHz can be used for the future development of 5G networks in Almaty city.
