Abstract
The article discusses the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) in the pre-flight visual inspection of the aircraft. The pre-flight inspection process is performed by the aircraft maintenance technician or the pilot-in-command before the flight is performed. It defines the application of modern concepts, connecting UAV and common activities in aircraft operation. Result of such connection is elimination of the negative impact of the human factor on safety in aircraft operation. Equally important is the possible reduction of time required to perform the pre-flight inspection itself, which will increase the efficiency of aircraft operations. The main idea of the research is to reduce of the negative effect of the human factor during the pre-flight inspection of the aircraft.
