Abstract

Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGSe) particles were synthesised by thermal decomposition method using CuCl, InCl3, GaCl3 and elemental selenium in oleylamine under nitrogen atmosphere. In this work, influence of reaction time on CIGSe particle synthesis was investigated using XRD, Raman, FESEM and EDAX analysis. Structural analysis showed more Ga incorporation at reaction time of 4h. FESEM micrographs depicted that the morphology of particles were hexagonal as well as irregular plate like shapes with size ranging from 200 to 500 nm as the reaction time increases.
