Abstract

A novel structure of voltage-mode first order allpass filter (APF) based on single active building block (ABB) namely extra-X second generation current conveyor is presented. In addition to single ABB, two resistors and two capacitors are also used. Use of ground passive components and single ABB realization are the key features of the proposed filter. The proposed APF exhibits good sensitivity performance and has high input impedance. A detailed analysis of APF’s behavior under non-ideal conditions and parasitic effects is also presented. Verification of the theoretically described performance of the APF is illustrated by PSPICE simulations carried at 0.25μm technology.
