Lately, the character that exists in students is very alarming when viewed in terms of morale because the culture of respecting differences is no longer ignored. This study aims to prepare human resources who are intelligent in using information media and technology as part of the industrial revolution 4.0, which is often used to divide unity and unity among the people. This research uses descriptive qualitative method through interviews in schools that have different cultural bases, namely Sultan Iskandar Muda High School, Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Model Medan, and SMA Santo Thomas 1 Medan. This study shows the condition of students who still do not understand technological advances that have an impact on changing the character of themselves and their surroundings. This shows that they are not smart enough to use information and communication tools properly, for example they often believe hoaxes, use applications that do not educate, use mass media to tease each other and break up unity, online games and even pornography. Abstract

Industrial revolution 4.0 is a change that is happening so fast in the fabric of society and social life, one of which is in the world of education. This change affects the lifestyle, character, and mindset of students.
