Abstract

Due to its ability to handle nonlinear functions regardless of the derivative information, Evolutionary Programming (EP) are envisaged to be very effective for Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) of Photovoltaic cell (PV). This paper proposes a critical evaluation of MPPT algorithm of PV model using EP. The proposed model is then compared with the conventional Newton raphson algorithm.
