Abstract

Five-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) have significant applications in which highly accurate speed and torque control of the motor are a major requirement. This paper presents the speed and torque ripple analysis of five phase vector controlled Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor at different speed transition. The average torque, torque ripple, speed and speed ripple are calculated and analyzed for Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. The analysis has been carried out through MATLAB Simulink Power Graphical User Interface.
