The approach used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using triangulation techniques. Analysis of research data was carried out in three stages, namely the stage of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results show that agricultural education can shape the principles of character education in santri which include: learning based on the spirit of changing for the better, based on reality, building togetherness and family, exemplary figures of a kyai/teacher, and needs-based curriculum (life skills) for santris. Abstract

Indonesia is an agricultural country that has abundant agricultural resources. This potential must be maximized and developed to improve the welfare of the people and to become a strength for the nation. Character in the younger generation is a reflection of a nation.
