The study was conducted on a sample of (72) faculty members. The results showed that the faculty members of the Algerian university exercised academic freedom to a moderate degree. Freedom of teaching came first, followed by freedom of scientific research and freedom of expression. Abstract

This study aimed at identifying the degree of practicing academic freedom in the Algerian university from the point of view of faculty members.
