Abstract

This paper describes, for the first time, to our knowledge, the extraction of microwave permittivity measurements of vertically grown multiwall carbon nanotubes bundles/forests grown on quartz substrate. Dedicated test beds have been designed and realized in order to make these measurements possible. Microwave characterization techniques have been performed up to 67 GHz and the frequency dependence of the effective permittivity for MWCNTs has been extracted for CNT-based small antennas design in planar integrated technology.
