Abstract

The service robot market is globally driven by the advancement in robotics, increase in robot automation demand, and rise in living standards. This study proposes the development direction of AI service robots by classifying and organizing them according to their application field and scope and then examining the market trends and prospects of domestic and foreign AI service robots. AI service robots are those whose applications have been expanded beyond manufacturing and into domestic, medical, national defense, firefighting, and agriculture, as distinguished from industrial robots. The global market of service robots reached $35.24 billion in 2021 and is expected to grow up to $140.94 billion by 2027, with an average annual growth rate of 21.9%. The short-term and long-term strategies of AI service robots were presented by reflecting technical feasibility and social requirements.
