Abstract

This paper describes a modeling technique that quantifies the effect of voltage sags on the output of a complex industrial process. The nodes of entry of the sag are the instrument power supplies. Sub-system macromodels produced from design data and measurements are linked together to form an overall approximate transfer function of the system from sag ingress point to output. While broadly applicable to industrial processes in general, the technique is demonstrated using a model textile process.
