Ambiguous Communication of Aviation Personnel Contributing to Aircraft Accidents

Abstract

This academic paper focuses on ambiguous communication of aviation personnel affecting the safety of passengers and solution of ambiguous communication in order to provide guideline for the development of good communication within the organization and can be applied to the organization. According to the study, it is found that the ambiguous communication of aviation personnel result in misunderstanding between personnel and impact of safety to passengers. The article that aviation industry should have is the guideline of developing effective communication. In the Language Aspect, English language is used for communication. Message and speech are concise and have the main idea. Environmental Aspect, they have planned and inspection of equipment before operation. Personnel Aspect, Personnel improve their knowledge to increase their efficiency. And for the Organization Aspect, they have sequenced the steps before the operation. When the aviation industry has evolved to effective communication, there will be minimal risks of insecurity or accidents. Moreover, it can also improve the image and credibility of the organization.
