Through a comprehensive review of the literature, it wasrevealed that extracurricular activities provide a number of benefits to students at the secondary level. These benefits include improved academic performance, increased social skills, better time management skills, and improved self-esteem. Furthermore, the findings suggest that participation in extracurricular activities canhelp to reduce the risk of negative behaviors such as substance abuse, delinquency, and violence.
