EAPs and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing

Abstract

Summary This chapter traces the development of critical incident stress debriefing; and, its particular use within EAPs. In addition to more traditional uses of CISD, applications of the model for workplace-based interventions addressing domestic violence, homicide, suicide, and department reorganization and change are offered.
