Abstract

If a symmetrical three-phase asynchronous machine is powered by an asymmetrical voltage system, the electromagnetic regime becomes asymmetric, and mechanical outputs are influenced as well. The currents and fluxes hodograph is no longer circular but elliptical. The dissymmetry factor of the main quantities depends on the supply voltage dissymmetry factor; in addition it get dependent on the motor operation.
