Abstract

We propose ExpressEther as Ethernet-based virtualization technology for a reconfigurable hardware platform. It groups modularized hardware resources interconnected by an Ethernet, and transports a PCI express (PCIe) packet between the grouped modules by encapsulating it into an Ethernet frame.
