These algorithms calculate the appropriate time for each side of the traffic signal as well as signal cycle time without human intervention. It also provides immediate and safe passage for an ambulance. Abstract

Currently digital systems are mostly used in vehicle traffic, airplane and many other systems due to the exponential growth in the computational capabilities of processor based systems.
