Abstract
In this paper, we suggest a closed pneumatic-based solar tracking system for a maximized energy intake and reduced corresponding loss. This proposed system allows a timed rotation set by the microcontroller, a very low consumption insured by the closed pneumatic system, and a more accurate motion control allowed by the rotational position sensor of the pneumatic cylinders. Indeed, an increased accuracy of the rotation and tilt inclination maximizes the overall stored energy while minimizing the loss in heat with the considered closed pneumatic scheme. The paper details the overall system components with their interactions for reduced energy consumption. Additionally, a draft cost analysis is presented.
