PENGELOLAAN PERPUSTAKAAN DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS NEGERI (SMAN) 3 PADANG PANJANG

Abstract

The research objectives are (1) to explain the planning of library management at SMAN 3 Padang Panjang. (2) Explaining the implementation of library management at SMAN 3 Padang Panjang. This research is a field research using a qualitative descriptive approach. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in research are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study: (1) Planning for library management at SMAN 3 Padang Panjang is carried out through library work programs that have been divided into short, medium and long term programs. (2) The implementation of library management at SMAN 3 Padang Panjang is carried out through several management tasks including: book processing such as listing titles, authors, languages, number of books, publishers, and year of publication. Next, do the packaging of the book as stamped and given a book cover to identify the ownership of the book. Then make the preparation of books by arranging books on the available bookshelves, then storing books in the library room. And the last one is retrieval or easy to trace back by arranging them by alphabet or sequentially according to classification.
