Abstract
Recently, inclusive education has been hotly debated, given the importance of embracing differences. In this area, the inclusion of the Deaf is a very specific sphere which requires special care. In the year 2020, several Deaf students started Higher Education at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará (IFCE), Campus Limoeiro do Norte, and therefore, it is undeniable that the preparation of didactic material for the learning of this audience is essential. Keeping that in mind, the project reported in this chapter was elaborated, whose general objective was to present the didactic material developed with the methodology directed to the Emergency Remote Teaching of General Biology for Deaf students. To this end, the methodology was divided into five stages, namely: a) Background bibliographic research; b) Compilation of materials and subjects to be addressed; c) Adaptation of material; d) Preparation of lesson plans for each topic; e) Preparation of the final support material. At the end of the project, it was concluded that it is feasible to create interactive lesson plans that have the potential to meet the demands of Deaf students, simultaneously with the aggregation of listeners, thus enabling inclusion. It is hoped that this chapter will dialogue with previous studies on inclusive education and that it will later inspire similar projects in other disciplines. KEY-WORDS: Inclusion. Adaptation of didactic material. Synchronous and asynchronous classes.
