Abstract

: The number and standard of living of people who continue to increase resulted in an increase in piles of waste and its types. This of course will be a serious problem in handling, especially with regard to environmental sanitation. Community service activities aim to increase knowledge and develop the creativity of elementary school students by transferring information and discussing with participants the dangers of plastic waste. In addition, to provide skills to make mini aquariums from waste bottles/plastic cups of beverage packaging. The method used is community based participatory action. This method involves the facilitator and participants to jointly understand the existing problems and turn them into better things. There are several stages, namely 1) environmental observation; 2) problem identification; 3) determination of service activities; 4) coordination of service activities with prospective participants; 5) implementation of training on the utilization of plastic bottle/glass beverage waste. The result of this activity is that there is a reduction in bottled/plastic bottled beverage waste by creating a mini aquarium that has benefits for keeping fish.
