Abstract

This paper deals with the modelling and analysis of quadratic boost converter. To analyze the two loop control of quadratic boost converter in that inner loop consist of current control and outer loop consist of voltage control. Fractional order PI (FOPI) controller contain additional tuning parameters to increase the degrees of freedom. Fractional order PI controller adopted for outer voltage loop to improve the dynamic and steady state behavior of quadratic boost converter. The performance of FOPID controller is compared with that of PID controller and the results were presented. The simulation was carried out using MATLAB/Simulink toolbox.
