Abstract

In technical systems that operate in the presence of vacuum, often necessary is to control the vacuum depth. Vacuum monitoring sensors are used for this purpose. Modern sensors are quite complex and expensive electrical devices. In some cases when the object operated under vacuum is partially or completely made of plates and shells, these components energy capacity can be used for vacuum control without engaging the special sensors. In particular, such control systems are used in packaging with vacuum cans. Studies have shown that membranes stamped on the body of an object function due to the transformation energy that occurs therein as a result stability loss from pressure drop. This energy depends on the membrane thickness. As the membrane thickness decreases, the transformation energy increases, and the stability loss pressure decreases.
