Geopark dan Perubahan Sosial: Analisis Perubahan Sosial dalam Dimensi Struktural (peran, kelas sosial, lembaga sosial) masyarakat di kawasan Geopark Ciletuh Jawa Barat

Abstract

The inauguration of Ciletuh Earth Park as a Global Geopark by UNESCO has caused rapid social changes in all aspects around the Ciletuh Geopark area. This study aims to analyze social changes in the structural dimensions, namely roles, social classes, and social institutions in Tegalcaringin Hamlet after the inauguration of the Geopark by UNESCO using Himes and Moore's theory of the dimensions of social change. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The researcher found: First , social changes in the aspect of roles consist of the existence of new livelihoods, and changes in status and roles. Second , changes in the aspect of social class are changes in the social class system and shifts in social class. Third , in the aspect of social institutions, there is a change in terms of quality. The positive impacts of these structural changes are improving people's welfare, increasing employment in the service sector, reducing unemployment, gender equality, increasing individual quality and accelerating social class mobility. Meanwhile, the negative impact is social disintegration and reduced employment in the agrarian sector.
