Abstract

In accordance with IEC 61850, the description of substation single-line diagram, assigning protection functions to protected elements and protection functions allocation in protection IEDs are performed by SCL language. However, the functions of the relay protection devices are described in accordance with the IEC 61850 information model containing logical nodes, logical and physical devices. Currently, there are a sufficiently large number of special software tools for the development of configuration description files of relay protection what are known as system configurators.
