Dynamic Trends of Electricity Intensities Among 91 Countries

Abstract

Past studies indicate that some countries experienced increasing trends of electricity intensities, while other countries experienced decreasing trends. The basic purpose of this paper is to use experience curve, to estimate past trends of electricity intensities for 91 countries. We then select 51 countries which are more likely to break away from their past trends and develop new and improved trends for better electricity productivity in the Future Implications of our findings will be discussed.
