Abstract

This paper studies the impact of vehicle traffic density on data rate and link lifetime over vehicle Ad-hoc network via vehicle-to-vehicle connection in a highway, two routing protocols are used and compared, first is the optimized link state routing protocol which proactively controls sending data by choosing multipoint relay nodes to connect vehicles in the network, second is adaptive cooperative routing protocol that efficiently controls sending data by choosing best connection depending on cooperation criteria between nodes in the vehicle ad-hoc network.
