The proposed method description, its main parameters, as well as its approbation on the example of the developed aircraft fuel pump electromechanical drive: the control unit and the electric motor are given. A failure cost level index is proposed. It allows to estimate the cost of inputs of eliminating a functional failure, taking into account its occurrence probability. The reliability and cost characteristics of developed electromechanical drive are calculated.
