Geração de resíduos sólidos: a percepção da população de São Sebastião de Lagoa de Roça, Paraíba

Abstract

The problems related to solid waste, at present, are linked to the increase in the generation and proper disposal. You can find the streets of San Sebastian de Roca Lagoon irregular disposal of domestic waste. In this sense the present study aimed to analyze the behavior of residents in the management of solid waste. The data collection technique consisted of semi-structured interviews, from July to November 2014. With the obtained data, it was found that respondents residents have not been concerned with the generation of waste, exerting a strong negative influence on environmental quality local. with the lack of infrastructure and basic living conditions, the individual end up adapting their reality, what seems impossible for some, for others it is everyday reality.
