Abstract
The paper concerns a wideband direction finding (DF) device scanning an angular segment of the space. It contains a quasi-circular antenna array and planar microwave amplitude-to-phase converter (APC). Such a structure performs a quasi amplitude method of estimation of direction of signal arrival. An experimental version of the device works in conjunction with a microwave phase discriminator (MPD) and personal computer (PC). This set has been successfully used to determine the angle of arrival (AOA) of signals over the L band. The device architecture and results of experiments are presented.
