Abstract
In the last years, the field of indoor localization has known a lot of development. Researchers try to have more accurate results, especially in the case of complex architecture. In such cases one meter accuracy is so useless. Ultra Wideband technology comes to overcome this issue by giving a high precise time of arrival to determine the exact coordinates of a target. However this technology is so promising but in a complex propagation environment it is so hard to determine the first original signal from its copies, sometimes impossible due to a no line of sight propagation. In this paper we first give an overview about the UWB technology. We then describe the environment of our simulation. We also propose a new geometrical algorithm that estimate the coordinates of the target with high accuracy, by taking multipaths not as a barriers but as helpful information signals.
