Abstract
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, online learning has become the backbone of higher education. We investigated university educators’ eLearning perspectives, practices, and plans for future adoption. Educators reacted by making efforts to keep teaching going while admitting that some expectations needed to be adjusted. Despite numerous challenges, educators reported less fear of eLearning. Reflecting on their experiences, educators highlighted the benefits and drawbacks of e Learning. Increased flexibility, which allowed students to 1earn independently, was a key opportunity. Educators anticipated that distance learning would show in their future teaching if it was practical and helpful in achieving educational goals, taking into account opportunities and challenges. Although hybrid or blended learning methods were preferred, support for the implementation of technology-based and pedagogically informed teaching is required.
