Abstract
Vega software is widely used for infrared simulation. This study proposes a method for evaluating the effect of infrared objective stealth based on Vega software combined with image feature point matching technique. Vega software is used to simulate a group of infrared images before and after target stealth. Afterwards, feature points are acquired from the target images. Hausdorff distance between feature points is then calculated to quantify similarity between target before and after stealth. Experimental data show that a larger Hausdorff distance corresponds with decreased similarity between target before and after stealth, which proves better stealth effect.
