In this paper, we describe the use of the wavelet-based waveform in velocity detection by the Doppler frequency. We have compared the results with conventional waveform using linear frequency modulation (LFM) for both range and velocity detections. Analysis and simulation results have shown that the wavelet-based waveforms achieve higher resolution in velocity as well as range detections than LFM. Abstract
