Abstract

Efficient & Reliable power is the requirement of consumer to meet their demands. Real & Reactive line losses occur in the distribution network due to environmental, technical & non-technical factors. Reliability of system is affected inadequately due to these factors. In order to minimize both real & reactive line losses, three control grid strategies including sharing of active load, VAR injection and changing of transformer taping have been presented in this paper.
