Abstract
Efficient & Reliable power is the requirement of consumer to meet their demands. Real & Reactive line losses occur in the distribution network due to environmental, technical & non-technical factors. Reliability of system is affected inadequately due to these factors. In order to minimize both real & reactive line losses, three control grid strategies including sharing of active load, VAR injection and changing of transformer taping have been presented in this paper. IEEE-30 bus radial distribution system is used as test case and load flow analysis (LFA) is carried out using Newton Raphson (NR) method. Base case of IEEE-30 bus system is without any control grid strategy. Implementation of control grid strategies have been done on IEEE-30 test system for loss minimization. Real & reactive line loss of each line of IEEE-30 test system have been obtained. Comparison between base case & control grid strategies is also discussed.
