CURRENT TRENDS OF DIGITALIZATION OF REGIONAL ECONOMIC SYSTEMS

Abstract

In the modern conditions of socio-economic development, the process of digitization, which af-fects various spheres of activity, is gaining more and more popularity. The experience of successful countries proves that the competitiveness of regional economic systems depends on the ability to gen-erate, implement, and effectively and successfully apply digital technologies in all spheres of activity. Currently, the digitalization of regional economic systems is one of the main components of the strate-gic development of the regions of our country.The article is devoted to the study of modern trends in digitalization of regional economicsys-tems. The main goals are defined, the manifestations and advantages of digitalization of regional eco-nomic systems are clarified. Risks and problems associated with the formation, functioning and devel-opment of digitalization of regions have been identified. The factors of institutional and digital changes are outlined and the trends of digitalization of regional economic systems are analyzed. It has been proven that the implementation of digitization processes will provide an opportunity to solve numerous social problems, which in turn will lead to increased economic, innovative and so-cial development of regional economic systems. It was determined that the leading advantage of digi-talization of regional economic systems is the automation of managementprocesses, which will signif-icantly increase the level of efficiency of regional development management.The authors are convinced that digital platforms and portals facilitate operations, speed up the process of data and information exchange, and facilitate the establishment of relationships and inter-action. For business entities of regional economic systems, digitalization manifests itself in improving the quality of their products, goods and services and reducing their cost, as well as new opportunitiesfor increasing added value and other structural transformations.According to the authors, digitalization of regional economic systems is a continuous process of development of various spheres of activity and generation of innovative technologies. It has been proven that in order to achieve successful implementation of digitalization processes, coordinated work of business structures, citizens, regional and state authorities is necessary.
