Abstract

The objective of the study is to evaluate the possibility of utilization of a multi-axis accelerometric inertial measurement unit (IMU) in static acceleration sensing mode as a sensor element for a contactless button array emulation. The potential for using the IMU is a higher reliability and durability, especially if such a unit is already in the position and dynamics sensing function of the positioning or similar device.
