Bone objects with zoomorphic images from Ust-Poluy: features of use

Abstract

The article is devoted to use-wear analysis of the things with zoomorphic images from Ust-Poluy. Images were made in the form of round and flat sculpture and one-sided relief. The article examines the particular features of using such items in comparison with objects that have no decoration. Also, the article raises the question of the possibilities of the use-wear analysis in the study of materials from the sacred places. As a result of the use-wear analysis, it was found that objects with zoomorphic images were used intensively for a longer time than objects with similar functions, but without decoration.
