Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of spatial ability task to the cognitive performance and EEG activity. Nine participants were participated in this study. Participants were instructed to practice the spatial ability task. While performing the spatial ability task, EEG activity were recorded by using the lightweight EEG device, Mindwave Mobile, NeuroSky, Inc. The results revealed that some EEG activity including alpha and beta frequency bands were increased with statistically significant at the 0.05 level while performing the spatial ability task. Therefore, the spatial ability task could significantly improve cognitive performance. In addition, it could significantly increase alpha and beta frequency bands.
