Such a document is the basis for the activities of most companies, which is why its adequate translation is so important for international business. The texts of General Terms and Conditions belong to the legal substyle of the official business style; the main linguistic features of such texts were identified. The problems of translating such texts arise due to the linguistic nature of the terms, to the specific characteristics of legal terms, to the discrepancy between the legal systems of states, and may also be associated with insufficient training of translators. The analysis revealed typical translation errors caused by reverse linguistic and cultural interference. Specialized terminology from other areas of knowledge, such as banking and freight traffic, was found challenging the translator's job. Abstract

This article discusses the features of the translation of legal terms from German into Russian in the texts of General Terms and Conditions. Such a document is the basis for the activities of most companies, which is why its adequate translation is so important for international business.
