The role and significance of the Kazakh heroic epic as a historical source

Abstract

The article analyzes the Kazakh heroic epic. The need to study the role of the Kazakh heroic epic as a historical source is explained by the growth of the historical consciousness of the Kazakh people, including the need for modern science. The Kazakh heroic epic arose based on real historical events experienced by the Kazakh people at different times. Therefore, the authors of this article, as a result of the study, conclude that the emergence and flourishing of the Kazakh heroic epic is closely related to the political history, social and cultural life of the Kazakh people. Thus, when studying the history of the Kazakhs, the role of the heroic epic as an additional historical source is great.
