Abstract

Some of the Hadiths seem to be contradictory with one another. That Contradiction of Ḥadīths is resolved through abrogation, tarjīḥ and conformity. This research paper aims to discuss and analyze only conformity among the contradictory ḥadiths. The conditions of the conformity are analyzed in the light of al-Taḥawī’s views. Descriptive and analytical method of research has been adopted to conduct the research. The examples have been extracted from the book of al-Taḥawī. Experts of Uloom-al-Hadith’s point of view has also been incorporated in the discussion. It can be concluded that al-Taḥawī has resolved the contradiction of hadiths through conformity in his books. He is agreed on some conditions of conformity with the scholars and disagreed on others.
