Abstract

Lithuania, during the last decades, isundergoing a rapid development stage, and in recent years is experiencing theeffects of the worldwide economic crisis on all fronts. Our professionals andordinary citizens are forced to re-evaluate the lessons of democracy andfreedom in all areas – politics, economy, culture and business. It is not onlythe unique experience of Lithuania.All countries of Eastern Europe continue tosearch for their identity amidst the impacts of globalization and the worldwideeconomic crisis. Social economy partnerships and network cooperation arehelping to meet the new challenges that emerged after Lithuania became a member of theEuropean Union.
