Interference effect in second harmonic light emitted from sub-micron size nonlinear particles

Abstract

We investigate second harmonic generation from sub-micron size nonlinear particles. We also study out-of-focus diffraction patterns of single and ensemble particles. Interference fringes are observed in the defocused patterns of two, three, and multiple adjacent particles.
