Abstract

To decrease the flue-oil and flue-gas for the aluminum melting furnace, a novel heavy oil burner was development, which includes secondary air injection technology and premixed combustion. In this study, on-site experiment shows that the flame is very clean and eddy, and has a large contact area with the aluminum. The fuel consumption is about 55 kg-heavy oil/t-aluminum which decreasing 35% fuel compare with the traditional burner. Moreover, for flue-gas, the O2 and NOx are decreased, however, CO is increased.
